"Well, hello! What are you doing all the way out here? No no, feel free to perch by the fire and stay awhile. It's nice to see young folk returning to nature. I myself thrive in the wild. What use is a house? A town? No thank you, I do all right out here. Let me pour you a cup of this good forest tea and you'll see what I mean."

I expected this one to have some complexity, given the ingredients. I've been on a roasted tea kick this winter (so cozy!) and this fits perfectly. That roasty tea lays at the base, with the golden snails rounding it out beautifully. Aloe tends not to taste like much, but it's pretty in the brew (gorgeous in the jellies tea in this collection). The light fruitiness 'sweetens' it without really being sweet, and the raspberry leaf and lichen add some vegetal notes that blend into the whole. Excellent rainy day tea.
