Such a hearty, good tea. It really is a bit like having a second breakfast.
First breakfast is okay, but every hobbit knows that Second Breakfast is where it's at. And this is like a winter's cozy breakfast in a cup - warm, toasty, with and apple and spice sweetness. It's like great oatmeal but in a tea. Love it!
Second Breakfast
Picked this up at ECCC and fell in love. The toasty barley and apple cinnamon spice is a great balance to the hint of rich tea. It tastes a bit like breakfast in a mug (so the name is apt) and is smooth and comforting. Will definitely buy again.
I didn't intend on trying this for the first time while still in the coughing my lungs out stage of a cold, but it's just what I needed. Brewing, the cinnamon-apple oatmeal scent is very comforting. With a dollop of honey, it's soothing for the throat too. I'm getting a nice bit of caffeine for energy and the ginger-barley notes are perfect for curling up on the couch with knitting and an ebook. Really well blended too, I'm not getting overpowered by the cinnamon or ginger, which can be stong spices otherwise.Picking up more next time.
