Prepare for Trouble

I love this tea. It's going to have to join my regular collection of seasonal top-ups. Licorice is one of my favorite ingredients in tea, it really gives it a nostalgic feeling for me. It's like a warm hug in a cup. And I love that it comes with a decaf option!

The scent of the anise and the tea blend into a kind of spicy fig for me. The flavor hits my tongue with a sharp bitter note that evolves into a sweet mellow anise/licorish flavor, with the heat of the pepper and ginger riding along the whole time. I suspect this blend isn't for everyone but it sure is for me!

I got it as part of the retro gaming sampler but I'm definitely adding an oz or two to my next order because this really is a great waking up tea.
