Friday's Afternoon

I had been enjoying an afternoon blend from another company, but Friday's blew theirs out of the water. As soon as I opened the bag and took a sniff, I knew it was going to be good. I tend to brew a cup that's just shy of half a liter (500 ml, about 16 oz.), so most loose leaf teas take a lot of fine tuning--and extra tea--to get the strong flavor I prefer. For the first steep, I used my usual two teaspoons of tea and it was almost too strong. This tea packs a punch! Smooth and flavorful without a hint of bitterness, and it stands up very well to repeat steeps. This tea is everything I love in a black tea, and it's going in my regular rotation.

I've been getting tea from Friday's since she kickstarted it. She makes some really good and interesting blends, and I'm a particular fan of the flagship afternoon tea.

So delicious. It hit the spot.

I adore this black tea! I can't wait to smell it when I open the package. All other teas have been ruined for me now.

This is a nice blend of black teas and the caffeine will really give you a kick in the butt!
